We give the major dating apps a letter grade, from how they match you to whether they actually get people off the app and into a relationship.
Every dating app promises to help you find someone. Almost none of them are honest about what they are actually optimized for, which is usually your attention, not your love life. This site cuts through that with one number per app: a letter grade, assigned the way a strict teacher would, based on how well the app does the job you downloaded it for.
A grade here is not a vibe. We look at who the app is really built for, how its matching works, how much of the good stuff sits behind a subscription, and, above all, whether real people come out the other side in relationships rather than stuck in an endless loop of matches that go nowhere. An app can be slick and still earn a C if it keeps you swiping instead of dating. An app can be a little clunky and still earn an A if it consistently gets people together.
Every verdict here is grounded in how the app actually behaves, not its marketing. We grade favorably where an app earns it and mark it down, in writing, where it does not.
